As a teenager, I used to select certain people as correctors in my life . If they spoke , I would listen and act immediately. I outgrew my circle of counsellors the day I accepted the Holy Spirit and God's Word as my ultimate counsel and Authority to which I am fully accountable to.
It is through knowledge and wisdom that I came to understand many other ways God Almighty communicates . In most cases, He communicates from humble, undermined and overlooked places and people.
I am bound to look and to discern God's voice in everything, everyone and in anything. It is an in-knowing from the Holy Spirit that alerts you of God's voice.
Now coming to your partner: Who does he/she listen to and obey ? Is he/she able to discern God's voice in his/her leaders, parents, strangers,siblings,fellow brothers and sisters or he/she just without searching the spirits take their counsel as authority from God?
Stay far away from men and women who don't test spirits, who aren't willing to discern God's voice in anything or anybody. Why? These women and men are easily manipulated by their spiritual leaders, they put their trust in men and easily assume that what their spiritual leaders/parents/siblings/colleagues/cousins/ strangers is right and they run forcefully with it.
It is important for a partner to have discernment otherwise anybody will control your union. Whose /what authority governs your life ?
