Your giving & your partner

It was around 2014 where my dad's old colleague called him and offered to give my dad a car freely. Meanwhile he was preparing to fetch the car . His colleague called him back to tell him that his wife isn't willing to give away the car as agreed to my dad freely , that his wife suddenly wants money for the car and this puts him in a tight corner as they had both set out to give the car away to him. With no hassle , cash was arranged and the car was collected.

It is extremely sad to see married couples having to give or offer help to others behind their spouses back when such charity should be done conveniently together especially if time and circumstances allow.

I look back and I realize the importance of marrying someone sensible enough to understand your level of charity, someone who will not frustrate the giver that you are and someone who is as selfless, kind and generous as your goodness in Christ otherwise conflict is inevitable.

It will be your fault to marry a possessive,  self-centered and idolatrous partner .  Marrying someone who will violate your conviction to God Almighty is your fault.
